A majority of U.S. workers are not engaged at their jobs and it’s costing the country $450 billion to $550 billion each year in lost productivity. Those are the latest findings from Gallup’s State of the American Workplace Report, which found that 70 percent of American workers are ânot engagedâ or âactively disengagedâ and are emotionally disconnected from their workplaces and less likely to be productive.
